Michael Britt, Vice President

Mr. Britt has been working in the municipal finance industry since 2015. Prior to joining Montague DeRose and Associates, Mr. Britt worked in public finance investment banking at Loop Capital Markets, where his responsibilities included providing banking and technical analysis support for California, Arizona, Colorado, and Washington accounts. Mr. Britt also served as an analyst on Loop Capital's Infastructure Advisory team, where he provided research and analytical support for P3 transactions. Prior to his career in public finance, Mr. Britt spent three years as a research analyst in Washington D.C. in the United States Senate HELP Committee (Education Policy Office, Senator Edward Kennedy) and Office of Senator John Kerry in addition to serving as a lecturer/researcher in modeling and quantitative analysis at Princeton University, with a focus on middle-market P3 transactions. Mr. Britt has served on over $12.2 billion bond transactions for California issuers since 2016. His California bond experience includes financings for the State of California, California Department of Water Resources, the Cities of Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Diego, the Counties of Alameda and Los Angeles, Los Angeles Community College District, Los Angeles Unified School District, and San Diego Unified School District, among others.

Mr. Britt also serves as co-chair to the Creating Balance in an Unjust World National Conference, in conjunction with the UCLA Mathematics Project, dedicated to improve empowerment and performance of women and minorities within STEM fields and underserved math and science school classrooms. This includes convening the nation's largest gathering of urban math and science teachers in 2015 at LAUSD's Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools. To date, Creating Balance has provided funding, development, and curricular support towards empowering women and minorities in STEM to over 400 California school teachers.

Mr. Britt received his B.A. in Mathematics from Amherst College and M.A. in Mathematics from Stanford University. He holds Series 50, 52, and 63 licenses.
